  • - - - certainly will see a much welcomed UPTICK in activity starting later this week.

Herd men look to get back on the winning tract Thursday evening at the CAM against FIU in a "titanic struggle" (sorry Martty) involving the bottom two teams in CUSA East.  Then its off to the far-flung climes of old El Paso to face the Miners on Sunday afternoon.  Go get em, HERD!!  (Anyone wanna bet that Danny and team will beat Herdmeister to the UTEP arena?).

Women's basketball also in action this week.

It's also only the second in February, but HERD Spring Sports "spring" into action.  Softball team opens the season this
Friday in Atlanta where they are schedule for 5 games through Sunday against Villanova, St. Joseph, and closing with the homestanding GA. Tech team on Sunday.  Nothing like opening with some "gimme" games against "softies"!  Team picked 5th in the Preseason CUSA poll, and 3 players, Pye, Harrell and Stevonson, picked on First Team Preseason All-Conference squad!

Then the next weekend, the Herd Baseball team follows suit, opening in a tournament down in Florida against Ohio State.
Team also slated to play a couple games in the tourney against BYU.  Aahhh, Florida in mid-February.  A really "tough" gig for Coach Waggoner's group, for sure!!

So, Spring Sports just days away, folks.  Can that first sorely needed glimpse of the First Robin of Spring be far behind??

Oh, yeah next week marks the middle of the month.  I believe there's a little news slated to come out about something at MU regarding, uh, a selection of an Athletic Director for the Herd.  So stay tuned, Herd Fans!
