Lol!!! Tell us what is so wonderful right now? We have had 2-20 loss seasons out of the last 3. We have 6 spots to fill and have only filled one with a hometown boy wanting to come back home. We have zero guards on the team that can play D1 ball at this time. The football team has not done anything for years. So please tell us why we should be so happy?

Thankfully a rebuild can happen in one season if the portal is utilized correctly. I like that our athletic dept has taken the same approach on two consecutive hires finding non D1 coaches who are proven winners?..success is success regardless of what division it is

He didn't have the next step up year you'd hope. I think it was scheme. He did a lot of contain over consistent rush. While the other side flew up field. His pro day was really good, but 6'3 250 puts you in that too small for 4-3 end, can they play Edge/OLB? Him getting to camp and getting a fresh start and evaluation will be helpful. Can play ST, can play fullback, can realistically play any of the 4 LB spots at any point. He is a Mario Harvey, Albert McClellan just get em in the door player.

Meh, he played here and was productive and moved on. What's worse is the kids who come, spend a couple years burning scholarships and practice reps and then go to another school. Sadly Andre Sam is a man who was slightly ahead of his time. It's pretty incredible when you take a path from McNeese State to Marshall to LSU.

I have spent more than three decades in an adjacent field and would be happy to give him advice or point him in directions that I think may be helpful. At worst, I can give him some encouragement. The job hunt stinks and it can be particularly hard for this generation because they are not used to dealing with rejection and it is so easy to just get ghosted by sending resumes into what seems to be a giant gaping hole where emails go to die.
