  • I have two spreadsheets. I want to data that I enter in one spreadsheet to also be entered in the other one. I know this can be done....but I forgot how to do it. I know using the = is somehow involved....but I forgot.

Any help you provide would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • I think as long as both sheets are in the same book.  You can just copy the value of the cell you want (via right click) and paste it in the cell on the other sheet.  If that doesn't work you might have to right click and paste special and choose value or formula.

  • The easiest method is to have one file  with multiple  "sheets". The A sheet can reference data in the B sheet and C sheet, etc. We do it all the time. Macros can be programmed also but that isn't the easiest method for a layman.

  • when you paste, try choosing "paste special" then "paste link"... perhaps that will point you in the right direction.
