Working in the home loan business.  We saw HUGE rate decreases yesterday.  If anyone is looking to buy or refinance your homes you may want to call your lenders.  Not saying to call me, but call someone.  If you are looking to buy, and will be outside of city limits, USDA rates are VERY low right now too, no down payment and no PMI.

Anyway, you guys can move this if you want.  Just wanted to get it out there.

Both of my loans are with Countrywide. Have had no complaints with them. I have considered consolidating my loans into one, but have been hesitant, because I don't want to pay a bunch of points or end up with an even worse interest rate.

Not sure what your rate is now.

Nor do I know how much equity you have in your home now.

If you could refinance it at 80% of the value of the home, you could roll them both in with no PMI at around 5.625ish, with no points.  That could change of course as they did yesterday.

I've done some work for Countrywide in the past, but things kinda fell off when they went to the third party system--although it can be a good system. I do some work for another bank who uses third party, or appraisal management firms, and it works very well.

Yeah, they're memories for me too. We just had to move to the Buckhannon area, my job is in Fairmont. I sure miss the Huntington area, but there just aren't many jobs there, so I'm stuck in Mo-hole country.....argh!  >:(
