Yea I don't know why he isn't bringing in a 25 year old Dan Marino.

... Or a good FCS QB, or any QB that has actually had success somewhere is a good start.

This is like hiring a person for a job, that failed miserably at their last job and expecting a miracle. It very rarely happens.

  • Should have went after the kid from Albany we played this year. He?s in the portal. Impressed me when we played them and took a historically bad FCS team deep in the playoffs.

  • Well at least he has DI experience unlike Crawford.

That's different because it doesn't fit his narrative.

  • We gotta stop crapping on players before they even come here. Underwhelming is totally unfair. He's way better than any QB on our roster, and I think he's the favorite to be our starter next year. Probably the highest rated (out of HS) QB to ever come to Marshall.

Had a very good 2022 as a freshman and had the starting job locked up coming into 2023, but he suffered an ankle injury in the 1st quarter of the first game of the season and apparently never fully rebounded.

He's got a ton of upside if he can stay healthy. Very good runner and had over 300 yds passing in each of his last two full games as starter. Tulsa fans seem to really like him.

And do you guys think we can just snap our fingers and get Poffenbarger to come here? Word is he's getting looks from a ton of P5 schools.

  • I like this pickup.

I sometimes wonder who is more negative. Bust or 24? Maybe that?s why they dislike each other, they are just alike. Negative know it alls lol

seems you're going out of your way itching to talk %^&* about a kid before he ever straps on a Herd helmet. Is it your point to set a narrative so if the kid doesn't perform up to your expectations you can tell us all I told you so?

  • Hey 24. You can cherry pick numbers from this past year if you want to tear him down.  He was injured and played on a super bad team. What if he didn't play with an ankle injury this year on a good team? His 22 numbers were 10 TD and 2 Int.  I personally think it's a solid pickup if he is healthy.

Another terrible take. Have you considered taking a few days break from the board? This makes us all look amateurs.

  • Thought we may see Huff, motivated by his lame duck status, bring in Jalen Milroe given his Alabama connections.

  • I watched a few highlights from his starts. Size and skill set reminds me a lot of AJ Graham. AJ was very talented but never got his head screwed on straight. Braxton will need to be coached and developed, but I think there is something to work with there. I think between him and Griffis, Braxton has the higher ceiling, but we will see how it plays out in competition.

My super secret source says Huff is working on this. He has the physics Department working on a Time Machine and they're getting close.

Can you explain how it's terrible? It is his amazing 10 tds in a whole season? Or the next season where he fell off a cliff to 2 with 6 ints, and was hurt all year?

    Thanks, mr vendetta.

Oh yes, 10 tds in 12 games is much better. That's almost 1 passing td a game. That'll win us a title for sure.

You're right, he was benched and the back up for half the year.

He isn't capable of recruiting well or managing the games/prep. He is all around, just a bad head coach. We missed badly on it and it is what it is. One more year and we get to try again.

He might have been banged up after those first 5 games, he also rushed for 4 touchdowns.  So all toll he scored 12 touchdowns and no interceptions and I can't tell if he fumbled any or not.  His completion percentage wasn't great but he was productive and not turning the ball over.  Whomever took over certainly didn't help Tulsa win.

  • i think we signed 2 transfer and 1 HS offensive linemen.  being that the returners (i don't know the exact number) didn't set the world on fire, this doesn't appear to be enough.  is it possible there'll be more?  so i'll repeat what has already been said- it won't matter who is at QB if the OL doesn't significantly improve.

also what about these who i think were listed at one time or another?
    J. Hammonds  DE
    J. Putthoff  DL
    K. Kynard  S/CB
    M. Caswell  S/WR
    D. Williams  WR
    J. Jarrett  WR/CB
