  • Based on other posts from that account. I think that's a joke account.

  • Is this real?  If so, it may work if our new OC is good with QBs.

  • Would be funny if true.  I wouldn't mind having wells back and it would be poetic if he came back and won the starting job and played well.

  • I believe that is indeed a joke account.  Same account was previously called JMU Scoops and posted they were hiring Justin Fuente.  I think it's just a VT fan account.

  • Green, Wells, Fancher.  i feel sorry for these mistreated QBs and their mistreated coaches.  they deserve so, so much better.  what's wrong with you evil, terrible, monstrous, bullying fans?

You can only hope. We'll bring back Pruett as HC, Doc is ST coach, Snyder comes as DC, Peterson as QB coach, Troy Brown WR coach, Steve Scullio as OL coach and Kueck as OC.
Vinny Curry as DL coach, John Grace as LB coach and Rogers Beckett as Secondary coach. Let's roll.

From what I understand, him resigning is a strong possibility.

  • Maybe Chuck the Pigskin will dust off his resume and apply for HC. He promised to throw it every down and never punt.

  • The complete disarray at QB1 for the past decade would almost be comical if it weren't so depressing.

We can only hope that you are right. If he resigns I'm assuming that would also mean no buyout?

  • In all honesty, Wells may be the best we can hope for at this point.  What QB is going to come into this mess.  I feel sorry for Doege.  This dude gets the opportunity he's always wanted and it looks like it will be over before it starts.

  • If he goes back into the portal Marshall may be his only choice.

Isn't that what happened with Tanner Holden?  Went back into the portal after going to Ohio State and some weird rule made is so that going back to Wright State was the only choice??

what is your source of "understanding?"  haha

if he is considering it, i wouldn't expect him to think about it for too long...no sense in adding another L to the resume if you're gonna quit anyway.

  • Transfer Exceptions
If you transfer from a four-year school to an NCAA Division I or II school, you may use an exception to compete immediately if you receive certification from your compliance office on campus and meet one of the following conditions:
    1. Thisisyourfirsttransfer.
    2. You return to your first school without participating in sports at the second school.
    3. Your sport is dropped or not sponsored at your current school.
    4. You are nonrecruited or nonscholarship.
    5. You have not participated in your sport for two years.

  • Not sure if it was a joke but Grant Wells has taken his last snap behind center at Marshall. 10 straight incompletions while looking to hide behind his OL is one thing, but stepping out of bounds short of the sticks while trailing in a must-win game is another. And I do understand he could well be better able to perform than any QB we have right now.

Wish him the best in football and in life but that ship has sailed.
