Seems ole Huggs, yep THAT Huggs, has just gotten into hot water up in Pittsburgh after driving very erratically and subsequently picked up and later charged with driving while intoxicated!! Supposedly his breathalyzer test indicated results showing over 2 and a half times OVER the legal limit!!!
Yep, just what good ole West Virginia needs: Another big, embarrassing black eye courtesy of one of its most visible/prominent citizens!!! Can always count on someone from "Chickeneer Land" to contribute, whether Huggy, or perhaps good ole Gordy Geek, the University President and Ringmaster of that 3 Ring Circus going on up in The Hole!! Anyone remember not long after he became the Head Football Coach at WVU, an inebriated Dana "Holgy" Holgorsen made a big public arse out of himself at a Charleston Area casino?
And it was only in the last year that Huggy was embroiled in an embarrassing episode down in Cincy when he got on a popular radio program there and insulted everyone in the City, apparently, including Catholics, transgenders, etc., etc. Everyone, apparently, except perhaps a couple of Bavarian Brew Meisters in the Queen City!!
Well, apparently, "officials" at WVU are hastily evaluating Huggy Bear's latest faux pas!! What action will be taken is anyone's guess. But Huggs is now only on a 1 year contract as Head Basketball Coach and could be released as early as next April, no further questions or actions needed!!
If he is jettisoned now, look for some hasty departures from the WVU team. Heck, if Danny is still in the market for a player, this might be a fortunate opportunity to catch some talent on the rebound!!
