ironically enough, pretty sure neal brown has held that distinction ever since he got the contract extension 2 yrs ago.  NB gets $4M/yr.  plus, huggs had to agree to a cut in pay as part of his punishment for offending the rainbow warriors.

Let start off with, chuggy has a lot of problems and he needs help. It is a sad situation for him and we have posters on this board who have had substance abuse problems.

Since the 2007-2008 season chuggy has taken wvu to the the NCAA post season 12 out of the 15 possible tournaments. That is a little bit better than the current MU coach who is 1 for 8. Say what you want about chuggy, but MU would be lucky to have a basketball coach who could produce results like that. Sometimes people look the other way when someone is great coach.

Huggy is a scumbag but he can coach. And he isn't afraid to overhaul his roster if need be. And he has been to the final 4.

I agree he isn't the most desirable role model. But like you said, he can coach. He has been to the Final 4 twice with two different schools and even took Akron to the Big Dance. It is sad to see such talent wasted because of an addiction problem. Old timers will remember the problems Cam Henderson had and even Ellis Johnson got pulled over at Waverly, Ohio for a similar issue. 

I will say it is sad that wvu officials didn't intercede with his problems years ago. It was well know among major wvu contributors that he has had a problem for years. One would think they would have got him into a rehab facility years ago.
