Another day, yet another athlete collapsing in the midst of a game for unknown reasons.

Just days after Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin had to be administered CPR on the playing field after he collapsed following a play against the Cincinnati Bengals, another athlete has collapsed under what appears to be mysterious circumstances.

Old Dominion basketball player Imo Essien "had to be tended to by training staff from both ODU and Georgia Southern", according to WAVY, after collapsing during the middle of a game this past weekend.

He "did not appear to lose consciousness", according to the report, and was eventually helped to walk off the court under his own power. "Members of the Old Dominion men?s basketball team watched in shock," WAVY wrote.

"Many held back tears," one account wrote.

Old Dominion said in a statement: "He was responsive throughout and was able to sit with team for the duration of the game and travel back with the team. He is in good spirits and will work with the ODU Sports Medicine staff when they return to Norfolk.?

Video appears to show Essien clutching his chest while on the ground. Old Dominion has yet to make an additional statement.

Is it way to many or is the media just spreading it more?  Sudden cardiac issues is not a new phenomenon. So far the data I?ve seen from the national catastrophic injury research center hasn?t shown an increase in incidences during athletics. Data for 2022 hasn?t been released yet

Other studies referenced in other thread shows multiple studies show the numbers have spiked. Also you can go look at the adverse events data and some whistleblower info. The adverse effects from this vaccine compared to say the flu shot is through roof. Or you could trust the government and those who have made a lot of money off this charade of a response. Notice that Fauci and others have never agreed to DEBATE anything about the virus that would bring light to it's orgin, the response, and the harm done to the general public. Go look at available insurance data about the spike in mortality rates in the young and the population in general.

I read an article in which John Stockton says he has counted over 1000 deaths counting all levels since 2021.

Never mind I found it.  The funny thing is you actually think he has data to back that claim up. He?s pulling number out of thin air. It started at 100-150 then went to 300 and now 1000. When asked where he got that date from his only response was I have sources.  Please be smarter than a wet paper bag and be highly skeptical of claims without proof

Yes but is it an increase from historical numbers is the issue. Sudden cardiac death is one of the leading medical causes of death amongst teens and adolescents.  With the advent of social media it?s very easy to have a story go viral to fit a narrative even if there is nothing out of the ordinary. Until the actual numbers are released we don?t know if it?s normal or an increase
