Arrest warrants filed following assault of referee at kids basketball game

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Arrest warrants were filed Tuesday for two people following an ugly incident at a children?s basketball game over the weekend.
Cell phone video captured the moment during a Buddy Basketball Tournament championship game at the Huntington YMCA Saturday afternoon.
The game involved children younger than 10.
Witnesses say parents became upset after what they believed was a missed call.

Happened again this past weekend. Back to back weekends at the YMCA with a parent/referee scuffle. Same refs but different school this time. There is plenty of video out there on social media for people to make their own judgment. Craziness. This kind of thing should never be happening.

Parents are out of control. They want little Johnny or Jenny to be the superstar and nobody is gonna get in the way.

They should ban the parents from future games. I also hope that the charges after the first time hold up. Parents need to be taught a lesson. Hate it for the kids.
