Former Marshall assistant  basketball coach Anthony Grant is the head coach at Dayton and he took the Flyers to a second round game in the Big Dance this last season.

He will be a senior in 2025, and Marshall was recruiting him, doubt that will go anywhere now.

Danny puts players out of position and has no strength program. Remember moving Kinsey to the two from the 3? We had a bad year and we lost 20 games. Then he puts a 6'9" player at PG and we lose 20 games. Conner has ball skills for his size. Needs weight room and playing the 3. Glad he is at home and going to get the coaching and weight room he needs. Great kid.

Dayton plays a very quick style.  Not sure that is the best fit for his skill set.  Best of luck to him.  Always seemed like a nice kid, who was forced to play out of position.

No surprise there, bust.  Danny D. came to MU 60 years ago as a skinny runt, and left after eligibility expired with a degree as a "skinny runt".  Came back as a head coach half a century later and was still . . . . . . a "skinny runt"!  In terms of strength and conditioning,
Danny Boy's philosophy was, to paraphrase a Mexican bandido in Humphrey Bogart's "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", "we don't need no stinking" muscle!!

Seems fairly obvious they took him to get his brother.  Don't think they care if he plays or not.

Holy carp, another Marshall player to the A10. A better conference than the SBC. That's 2 Marshall players going to 2 teams who made the dance. Dayton has a good smart basketball coach who will know how to use Connor the right way. Should see some improvement in his game.

I think some of you are short changing Jacob.  As bust 2 said he will get better coaching and strength training with probably a better training table.  I hope he is successful.
