That's an interesting poll. What they gearing up for a separate G5 poll that's been rumored recently?

Nice they are playing at Wilmington, I think that is always a good matchup.

FWIW: Toledo has already announced their basketball schedule and they play at Marshall Nov 9. The Ohio U board is saying they will also be playing a game at Marshall.

I hope you are correct about the money games. Marshall basketball should be doing their part to support the athletic department by bringing in some needed revenue.

Those are the two mac schools I heard about.

Will also play UNC Wilmington at their place.

For the money games just heard it will be an ACC and SEC schools.

Wouldn't be surprised if the ACC team isn't NC State.

No mention of a power team being a part of this.
In fact, it says it is a two game for the three teams.

Should hear of a couple of money games and the typical MAC games soon.

If it's an MTE we always play 2-3 bad teams at home and 1 Power team on the road.

I am typically more of a glass half full guy but a buddy of mine told me when we hired Corny we just went from bad to worse.  I guess we will see how it shakes out.  I hope not for Marshalls sake.

it'll be a miracle if this hire works out for us.  NOBODY in America would've hired CJ as their next HC...except marshall.

I have talked to a couple of people in HTS and the rumor or conspiracy is that Dan is very active in the program. Take the rumors with a grain of salt since most of the rumors can be traced to people who are not insiders.

Remember, CJ spent a lot of his career with Dan. Dan didn't understand how to run a college basketball program since most of his career was in high school coaching. He only had one year in college basketball as a Grad Assistant coaching the Marshall Freshmen basketball team.

So far, CJ scheduling and recruiting seems similar to Dan. Hopefully CJ will turnaround the program.

do you have inside knowledge about what exactly DD's involvement is?  my guess would be that DD knows better than make Corny uncomfortable in what might already be a touchy situation.  i just don't see his role, that has to be per AD oversight, to be interfering or distracting to the head coach in day to day operations
