  • Only got to see the second half so I missed a bunch of good stuff, but looking at the stats...

    The Good
    • DEE Fence!!!!!! Wow. They got to play everyone at their position for the entire game. They took the cuffs off and played aggressive. These guys have come a long way. They forced SIX punts.
    • Bernard. Leading rusher, completed passes to 8 receivers, no turnovers...what can you say? We are lucky to have him.
    • Team. How many freshman and sophomore laden teams would have packed it in by now? Not the boys in the green!!
    • Crowd. I'm sure GS will post the attendance for the conference, but Marshall has to lead the conference in the Butts in the Seats to Victory ratio.
    • ECU fans. Looked like a bunch on the Tee Vee. Sounds like a classy bunch too. This is an enjoyable rivalry. They scare me and I respect them too.

    The Bad
    • What was the difference in this week and last? Was there a change in philosophy, if so why did it take so long?

    The Ugly
    • CSTV--seriously. Just cause the cat had kittens in the oven don't make 'em biscuits and because CSTV has a contract don't make 'em broadcasters. And please, for sake of all that is good and holy, take the crayon away from the graphics person!!!

  • I was wondering why it took so long for Harvey and other young ones to get more playing time. The times they played(like the opener at Miami)---they were playing as good as anyone else on the 'd'. They really made some good hits early in the season. Good size, speed and they liked contact.

  • I'm just so sick about this.  The memories I have of him, the talks on the phone as well as our daily interaction in the MOD forum is something I'll never forget.   He was a student at MU during the 70's at the time of the air crash and spoke often about how much that hurt him to lose those guys.   You were and are something special my friend.  God bless you KD Lawson!

  • His last post sums up the normal KD post.

The Good outweighs the Bad...and he loved the Herd.

    Rest in Peace.

  • I always enjoyed his posts and respected his opinion even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him.  I can tell by the words left on here that he touched alot of lives.

    Rest in Peace Herd brother.

    Second that, Huff.
In the middle of Huntington, West Virginia, there is a river. Next to this river, there is a steel mill. And next to the steel mill, there's a school. In the middle of this school, there's a fountain. Each year, on the exact same day, the exact same hour, the water to this fountain is turned off. And in this moment, once every year, throughout the town, throughout the school, time stands still.

  • KD,

I didn't have the chance to say goodbye...of course we never get that chance when it's unexpected.

I'll miss our calls, the  Marshall/Knoxville thing was pretty cool. I looked back over my phone bills...We talked to each other about twice a week over the last year.  I loved every second of it.

Most of all, I'll miss just knowing you are there...

    Love,

    Steven.
