Looking forward to driving in for the match. UK is one of just a handful of undefeated teams left in D1. They haven't had schedule Marshall has but have defeated some decent competition in Notre Dame, W Mich, and at Louisville. They host WVU later in year.

I'm sorry guys, but although this game maybe be greatly appreciated by Soccer afficionados and purists, I just can't believe you can build sustained support and attract huge crowds persistently to watch a game where after two regular halves and then two overtime periods, you end up with exactly ONE shot on goal!  Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,. . . .

UK parked the bus early and often. Tough for the herd to break through. Playing five in the back and putting 8 and sometimes 9 behind the ball. They came to get a point and that's exactly what they did. Hopefully Grassie can make some adjustments and we go from there.

Soccer team is averaging 1,728/game with our smallest crowd being 1,085.

Our stadium only seats 1,006. So I wonder if we do a legit extension this next off-season? Thoughts?

They keep score in all sports for a reason, 129.  And all sports have periods of play between scores which some fans find less entertaining than others.  Soccer has movement, positioning, strategies throughout the play, etc.  Baseball has the same thing, strategy on every pitch, positioning of defenders in the infield, the outfield, etc.  Offensive, strategy aside from how the batter at the plate tries to gauge and attack each pitch, includes putting runners in motion, attempted steals, attempting to hit to a specific side of the field, etc.  Both can be boring to the fans who do not know, understand all the nuances, strategies, intricacies, of the respective games.  Those periods of "non" excitement give some of us time to make a concession stand and/or restroom run! :D  Oh, and one difference is that baseball, unlike other sports, is an "untimed" game or sport.

To each their own, but soccer is a million times more exciting than baseball. Not even close. It's literally the most popular sport in the world so you are in the minority.

Soccer requires NOTHING but a soccer ball, basically.  Kids around the world can get one and play on slum streets, trash dumps, etc.  Young kids can get a ball and play by himself by learning how to kick the ball, maneuver it, practice footwork, etc.  Hard to learn how to bat a baseball alone, same with pitching.  Just too many differences between the two sports.  Where it has taken hold, baseball has done ok, like Japan, Korea, Latin and South America.  Major League baseball would be in sad shape without Latino players without a doubt.  Fact that soccer is played in Sri Lanka, Katmandu, Bora Bora, and many other remote areas of the globe isn't going to affect the game of baseball and its popularity, or lack thereof, in the US one bit, IMO.

Lmao. Not in this country pal, and you're just silly saying it's a million times more entertaining than baseball, and I hate baseball but I can watch a game and enjoy it occasionally, or go to one and have a good time. Watching soccer is like watching paint dry. If those poor kids and people around the world had access to watch baseball and football etc, then they'd quickly forget about soccer in short order.
