Army/Navy...class from all involved.  No kneeling, support when Trump was announced and proud to be American.  Prayer before game...it was very refreshing compared to what some of the professional sports have done this year.

Will be nice to get back to sports without agendas.

Time Magazine has made the President Elect person of the year in every election year since Time started doing Person of the year in 1927. Trump was person of the year in 2016. Also, Time's person of the year doesn't go to who they are saying is "the greatest" person of the year but who they think has the "most influence on the world" which can be a positive or negative influence which is why the Time person of the year is almost always a world political leader.

Spectator sports themselves were created by political leaders in antiquity to entertain and appease the masses in order to gain their support and favor. There isn't a time period even in modern times that sports haven't had some political or social agendas.

Social media and the 24 hour news cycle (like it has everything else) has just amplified all of that.

Good post! and it's true about Time's history. I only wish Time would print a special addition to honor our (health care workers), front line defenders, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Firefighters for a very emotional challenging year.
