By Chuck LandonDaily Mail sportswriterHUNTINGTON -- They are the "Sunshine Boyz."And that's only one of the connections between Marshall quarterback Bernard Morris and star tight end Cody Slate.Besides having the same home state as a connection -- Morris hails from Orlando, Fla., while Slate is a native of Chipley -- the duo also is one of the best passing-receiving connections in college football. This season alone, Morris-to-Slate has clicked 57 times for 720 yards and five touchdowns. Those statistics rank Slate as the No. 2 pass-receiving tight end in the entire country. So, how did the fifth-year senior quarterback and true sophomore tight end develop so much chemistry in such a short time? There's another connection."We roomed together last year in the dorm," Slate said. "Me being a freshman, he took me under his wing. He helped me out a lot. We got to know each other as people, too, instead of just as players. I think that helped out a lot. "It definitely helped our chemistry."It shows.
