Zack, I trust you know why Ohio doesn't fall into Kentucky. Of course, it is because Michigan sucks.
Here is what I am wondering - if there is no longer a legitimate argument that the northern traditional superpowers (PSU, ND, OSU, Mich, other Big 10 teams, Nebraska, etc.) have not been clearly surpassed by the southern and western superpowers (top PAC 10 and SEC teams, Texas and Oklahoma, etc.).
I used to argue that if the bowl games were played in weather typical of those northern teams they would fare much better in final polls. Now I am not so sure. I think the south and west have surpassed them, possibly "permanently". The dominant athleticism just isn't there like it once was.
