  • i'm gonna guess it's either
    he's going after something bigger/money
    or
i hope, really hope it's that he's seen the competition in spring practice and doesn't want to be on the 2-deeps 😎

  • Nothing surprises me anymore with transfers, just seems like a strange time in the middle of spring practice.  Why not wait until it ends unless we are now in one of the many so called portal windows.

  • If he thought it was as great as he wrote he wouldn't be leaving.

  • I'm thinking we brought "help" in for his position, and it is odd to me that someone announces after the second week in spring practice.

So I'm betting he's been recruited away, and feels that its a good time to take the money and run.

  • Strange. Either has to be tampering or somebody we brought in is taking his first team reps.

It is expected he is going to Miami where Jackson and Guidy are coaching now.

  • Looks like we are losing a couple 6'+ WRs.

Seems odd having WRs transferring out given the offensive scheme Huff is implementing.  Most WRs would see it as an opportunity.

  • We need SPEED!!

    Here is one to get

Rahkeem Smith - Wr / Del State

    10.3 100m
6.7 60m (jayden harrison & ali ran 6.9 in 60m so nobody in any fb game catching him)

    3 years to play 2

    Big play WR / 5 punt/kick returns on 20+ touches / 18-20 yac

    P5 already on him

Is the medical redshirt for the year Huff gave him a scholarship?

    Only 5'9"?

I agree we need speed.  We also need height to go with that speed.  With the departure of 2 six foot plus WRs we are speed and height challenged on the depth chart.

Your not finding 10.3 in portal.    Thats probably MU school record in 100m

Does he weigh as much as the taller guys that left?  Saw a weight of 178lbs.

Syracuse & Maryland are the early leaders.  A great returner.

Faster our Wrs can get open more effective the O will be.  Our OL doesn?t block long.

I agree speed is a key in the air raid offense.  If Huff actually installs an air raid offense then a lot of the passing routes will be short timing passes or reads which are harder to defend and relies on WR speed.

As far as OL blocking is concerned, again if Huff really goes 100% air raid, then the spacing between the offensive linemen will create more blitzing lanes but it will take the DE and DT more time to get to the QB because they will be a few steps further away.  The OL spacing is a double edge sword in that it also creates more running lanes.

Ruining the sport.  I don't blame Marshall a bit, but I'm about done with it all.  Next year, I might have to go get season tickets to Cabell Midland.

  • It's making it very difficult to follow college sports.  It almost seems like you don't know who the players are from day to day.

  • How as a fan can we even relate or get invested in a team?  These players will never be or have any connection to the school.  MU will lose its best players every year.  P5 schools are losing guys left and right to rivals also.

You see guys from Ohio St transferring to Michigan.  The players are all buddies now and rivalry hate is gone.
