This is just talk.  All of those schools are under contract including the new adds until 2036.  That's why FSU and Clemson are still there.  They signed the grant of rights and are obligated until then.  If they leave whatever money they get from either the Big 10 or SEC would go to the ACC.

Big difference between keeping revenue schools and kicking out leeches.  GOR doesn't apply in the latter.  I would imagine some kind of compensation would be due those schools, removed, for their shares in the conference, however, it won't help SMU, Cal, and Stanford.  Cal and Stanford would be better off shoring up the MWC merger with Wash St and Oregon St and probably preventing Air Force from wanting to join the new proposed league and just staying put.  That cross-country travel isn't justified at G5 or slightly better TV money.

Some might liken this to Steve Carlton winning 27 for a team that only won 54.

A quick google check of Wiki shows that Clemson endowment is around $994 million in 2022. Wake Forest endowment was 1.86  Billion in 2021. Duke's endowment was $11.6 Billion in 2023 and UVA endowment  was $13.6 Billion in 2023. Poor little Clemson aka "Cow Tech".

I think Marshall fans will be surprised at the freshman, Moore coming from the Atlanta area.  I would be surprised if he doesn?t see meaningful minutes.  Needs to get in the weight room, but he is extremely athletic and can stroke it from 3.

We have 2 more visitors set for early this coming week.   Wednesday starts the dead period, so it's hopeful we can get a commitment early on this week.   Go Herd.

Did the visitors make it to Huntington?

Thanks!

If anyone leaves their TV revenue goes to the ACC, yes.

But this article is talking about kicking out the football deadweights to increase TV revenue for everyone else.

ACC isn't chasing down the TV revenue of wherever Wake Forest end up.

That's an interesting way to increase TV revenue. Take the league down to about 10 teams.

I doubt ESPN would mind since they'd still have access to the football teams they really want to air anyway.

Soccer is the rock right now. I feel pretty good about Women's BB and softball too (terrific recruiting class coming). I think women's soccer will take a jump. Looks like baseball has a solid class coming but they are still a ways away from the top teams in league. Just the HC change in bb has me more optimistic. Football I have no feel for. With all the comings and goings I probably can't name 20 players on the team. The new OC/qb will be key imo.

Yep!  They don't cotton too well at "Clemp Son" for too many "dry" seasons in a row without a lot of Championships and much postseason success, bling, etc.

It's not called "DEATH VALLEY" for nothing!!!
