yes, I agree. That article tells me we got a lot of work to do. I'd never thought some of the schools ahead of us on that list would actually be ahead of us.

  • a lot of competition from immediate peers.  roughly 80 to 120 range.  lot of factors we win on and a lot we lose on.  a weak point is consistency on the field/court.  HC hires may be getting better and therefore more attractive to prospective HC replacements to help alleviate inconsistancy on the field.  a strong point is we've got fans who will turn out better than many in the top 80, if we can win at high %s.  like WKU, maybe Ohio, we're somewhat isolated geographically.  as many have said many times, we have to find money for NIL, coaching salaries or for other immediate or crucial needs so that critical descisions are much easier to make.

many may disagree, but at this time, on this budget and if 100% truthful, i don't see a better fit overall than SBC or MAC (i know, oh know!!)

  • I think charlotte has a real problem. Beautiful campus, but 3 out of 4 grads support some other state school.

  • I'm not as concerned with realignment right now

I'm more focused on improving as much as we can in academics and athletics

With Smith at the helm, I feel great about Marshall's upward trajectory

    Go Herd!
