Surprised coach thought we'd be a 14 seed. In reality I believe we were closer to a 12 than a 14. I guess it depends on who you were listening to or following. As I stated a few weeks ago, some of the decisions are geography based.

JMU got a #1 seed in WBIT. They were slated for a #2 but Miami Fl dropped out.  SBC got 4 teams into the WNIT (ODU, Troy, ULM, and S. Miss). SMiss plays at home in first round. The other 3 SBC teams got buys meaning they automatically advance to round of 32 in 48 team field. In total 6 SBC in postseason and I believe all that finished in top 150 NET are still playing. Appy was next in the 160s.

Soooo, just like MU after prior HC renovations, VA Tech has downsized their arena's seating capacity.

At least, unlike the HERD, the Hokies basketball program hasn't "declined" to the point that they have had to go the "Tarp Route" also!!!!

Many times, but not all, if game is on their networks you will have access.  I have watched many games this year broadcast of one of ESPNs other channels. Sometimes it is only offered in Spanish but at least it is on.

Unlike the men's tourney, ESPN owns all the rights for the women's tourney. Based on the NIT games last night broadcast on ESPN2 etc being available on ESPN+ it looks like all of the NCAA games will be available to those with ESPN+ but we'll know for sure tonight.

I just checked the four seeds quickly and could find tickets through official sources (ala the ticket office for each university) for: Gonzaga and Indiana. VT and Kansas State are sold out.

Gonzaga put their tickets on sale to season ticket holders at 10AM Monday and then the general public at 10AM Tuesday.

There are only 125 tickets up for sale on SeatGeek for the VT game as it stands, so I'm not sure where they are being resold.

can't wait.  we know it'll likely be a fun game, especially if Herd's outstanding shooting team hits shots, because defenses at this level are all good.  we know what kind of D and hustle we have.  just hope they continue the fairy tale like season beyond VT.  it can become the norm with continued good recruiting/roster management

We did the same thing when we played WVU in soccer last fall for the SB title. Limited tix remained 2 minutes after the season tix holders and such got first pick. It is what it is. I don't like it though.

Apparently I am wrong about this. the two women's NCAA games were NOT available on ESPN+ last night, so it is unlikely that the game tomorrow will be on ESPN+ which means you'd have to have the actual network it is on as part of your paid tv subscription.
