  • What day?

They don't have the times filled in yet but we'll be 22nd or 23rd.  First four are on the 21st

  • First two games in Blacksburg. Don't know if we could have asked for much better. We are a 13 seed. I'm happy.

  • I am happy too, but Cassell Coliseum is a brutal arena. Not much capacity and it is old as hell.

  • I don't know crap about Va Tech, but the long delay of 5 or 6 days give them more of a chance to prep for what Marshall will bring. If the girls can get past Va Tech, they should have an edge over whoever they face in the second round.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

It most likely will be Baylor, a tall order even for the very best teams!

CC seats a "genuine" 10,000 and has been kept up better than the "dump"
known as the HC! Even though it is a decade or more OLDER than the HERD Arena!

  • Honestly not a bad draw.

We could be going to Iowa City and having to play Kaitlyn Clark in the second round.

  • Friday @ 1. If their injured center isn?t available due to her ailing knee, it improves our chances.

  • Heard on ESPN that one of Tech's best players is injured and may not play. Hate to see a kid hurt but that may help us.

  • Their injured center is Elizabeth Kitley, the ACC player of the year, and a sure fire top WNBA selection.  Her leg injury at the end of the year looked very serious.  She was immediately ruled out of the ACC tournament, and the Hokies looked completely lost without her in their final game.  If she is in fact out, this is an absolutely winnable situation for us.

The VT website calendar banner (at the very top) has March 22/24 listed as the dates of the games, but no times. I don't know if that's a placeholder or the actual date we play on.

Our style is hard to prepare for.  You don't learn it by watching it.  I feel they'll need a half to adjust to what we do and we should be hitting on all cylinders by then, giving us a chance to hold them off in the late game as is our MO.
