I watched it as it happened. Looked like his ankle gave out but then when you saw the blood on his calf you could only speculate on the severity of the injury.

Sad to see.

ESPN is running a video on the first page showing him on the stretcher with his parents beside him. One has to feel for his parents at this time, obviously they are very upset. An air cast was placed on his leg. The video says his father was one of the first out of the stands to help his son. Terrible situation.

I met his dad a few years ago when he was working for a medical supply company in Charlotte. Super nice guy.

I figured it was a compound fracture when they said his leg was broken and there was blood. That is really a bad situation.

I remember watching an NFL game on TV when Joe Theisman was tackled by Lawrence Taylor and he suffered a career ending compound fracture. I have no desire to see that type of injury ever again. I hope this injury doesn't end Micah's career.

I hate that for him.  I met his dad at a couple of games last year too.  I'm sure that young Handy will always have fond memories of Marshall and Huntington.

Reality is he was a one and done here.  Nothing against the kid, but I am not any more concerned about him than I am any other kid who has an injury at another school.  I hope all NCAA athletes end their eligibility healthy. 

I'm a Big Green supporter, but not a jock sniffer.  I was never close to the kid like some on here.
