  • MU's Bryce Blevins had a no-hitter broken up in the 8th inning by a USM homer.  I believe Elijah Vogelsong of Marshall broke up the USM pitchers no-no with an eight inning homer as well.  1-1 top of the ninth.

  • Blevins pitched nine innings of two-hit baseball.  He left in the top of the tenth after issuing a walk.
1-1 with USM hitting in the tenth.

  • Submarine specialist, Nicholas Weyrich has pitched three scoreless innings and it is still 1-1 going to inning 13.

  • Herd robbed and Herd loses in bottom of 13th after a USM runner called out at the plate only to see the call overturned on replay.  After a single to right field, USM runner tried to score from second.  A perfect throw was made.  The USM runner was clearly out by my television view but there was a question if the catcher blocked the plate on the perfect throw from right field.  Game over Herd loses a heartbreaker 2-1.

  • Infuriating. Herd played its hearts out and got screwed by that new rule about catchers blocking the plate. Hats off to Blevins for his pitching performance.

  • Tough loss but promising showing so far against a perennially strong program..

Hope we can avoid the sweep tomorrow.

  • He was out.
Catcher was not blocking the plate.

Bad call by the Umps after review.

  • Since leaving the MAC seems we can't find a conference where we can get a call. Just my observation, may not be any credence to it.

JMU was going to try 6 on the court again briefly as time was winding down. But Coach Kim was going to have none of that.

  • Bad call imo. Runner had a clear access to plate. Only reason he slid the way he did was because he knew the ball beat him, not becuase catchers leg was in way.

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • Sounds more like the ump didn't want to be there after 13 innings and said "that one's close enough."

  • My take on that was that the ump wanted to go home.
