In the MAC WBB tnmt. #4 seed Buffalo ( now 19-12 (10-8 MAC) has knocked off #1 seed Toledo ( now 27-5 (17-1 MAC)) in OT by making 18 of 20 FT's and hitting 50% from 3. That C. Watson of UB had dropped 47 on them in the regular season. UB led almost the entire way, 1st UT lead came with less than 100 ticks left in reg. Not sure how much eligibility Watson might have for Coach Kim to reach out to if that is even ethical/legal.

Ball State is in the other MAC WBB semifinal and should cruise, since they have only lost to ND, UCONN, UB and Toledo ). Just wondering how this might affect Marshall seeding. Will UT get an NCAA bid ?

Gonzaga WBB lost their Conference final by 1 point and with only 3 losses on the season look to be a shoe-in. Maybe like their men's team dropping the final to help St. Mary's get in the tnmt. a few years ago as possibly a make-up for the year before when St. Mary's obviously deserved a bid and did not get one.

Toledo has a 64 NET. For reference, Marshall is at 75.

Ball State has a 73 NET.

We were win or go home, so I'd assume that's the same case with Toledo and now they're headed home.

ESPN has us in South Bend (Notre Dame) as a 14 seed.
HerHoops has us as a 13 at Kansas State.
CBS has us as a 13 (no matchup, but it'd be LSU, ND, Oregon State, or NC State).
CollegeSportsMadness has us as a 12 against Baylor.
SportingNews says a 13 playing either VT, Gonzaga, Indiana, or Kansas State.

Cleveland State getting knocked out opened up a 13 seed, but ESPN bracketology moved Cal Baptist (NET 120) up from a 14 seed instead of us.

I've not seen this bracket.  It has us playing Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas.  I well remember, in September of 2003, when a Herd team went to Manhattan!

No Help from the Sugar Bears, dropping this one 76-47 to FGCU (29-4). Speaking of which, whatever happened to the Sugar Bear (ostensibly of South Charleston HS or was it Stonewall Jackson HS) that the legendary DJ Jay Jarrell, the "Daddio of the Radio" was always calling out in 1968.

Toledo and Ball State are out imo. FGCU pounded Central Ark. Even so, MU's former coach took a team with eight wins last year to 20. There are going to be a few 17-22 win power conference teams that are out. Anyone with a NET above 45 are in serious jeopardy for an at large.

As stated, Missouri State is one that could really bump MU up if they beat the Drake. Drexel winning would be a huge upset vs Stony Brook although they only lost by 2 pts to them in one of the mtgs.

MU's NET is up to season best #73. MU has a better NET than 15 conference tourney champions. That tells me MU is solidly on 13 line with a slight chance at a 12 seed. One other criterion listed is how you played over last 10 games and MU is 10-0. The SBC is rated higher than most non power conf leagues. The A10 is the best non power conf league overall with 5 teams in the top 80 NET but they still will likely only get one team. The MVC is probably 2nd with 3 teams in top 100. SBC would be in mix for next best league among non power.

My best guess is still playing at Indiana. Others I could see are VT or NC State but no way of knowing how they will account for VT best player and her availability. Is she is available they will probably get a top 12 overall seed and play someone else but who knows.

I will give my 100% unknown picks -  I think we could play a 4 seed - Virginia Tech or Indiana.......(geography)

We should be a 13 seed................................................  JMO!

I had a good guess from the start!  Go girls!  Take out VT -   I just hope they let us play and not a game of touch fouls to SLOW the game down.................
