Topic: Marshall Men's Golf - SB Tournament

TL;DR: Herd golf tees off at 8:30AM tomorrow (April 25th) in the semi finals against ULM. It is being streamed on ESPN+.

Herd finished in third after three rounds in the stroke play event at the Sun Belt tournament at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, MS and will advance to match play tomorrow. Here was the stroke play leaderboard after three rounds:



Herd had Ryan Bilby finish third overall (-3) and Tyler Jones (+1) finish in seventh individually.

Match play starts tomorrow with a clean slate. For those unfamiliar, the Herd will match their top five players against ULM tomorrow. You win a hole by finishing it in the fewest number of strokes, and you win a match when you are winning by more holes than remain to be played. There will be no ties in this format and if the players are tied after 18 holes, they will keep playing until someone wins a hole and the match. Team that wins three matches will be the winner and advance to the finals in the afternoon.

I think that Coach Grove deserves a ton of credit in how this team performed.  Golf, historically has not been a stellar sport.  Wishing this team can score an upset and bring home the championship.
