  • That's a good win for the conference. We have stunk it up last few years as a conference, but we are seriously capable of having a good basketball conference.

  • Yeah, and they are playing with EIGHT scholarship players.  They outrebounded a Big 10 team also.  WKU is playing in a tourney; they lost in the first game to 5th ranked Villanova but only by 7 and played the Wildcats tough.  They are led by Justin Johnson, a tough 6'7" player who has had no trouble scoring and rebounding against the Herd.  Hopefully, by the time we play the Toppers, some of our younger front line players will have some good game experience and our top 8 or 9 player lineup playing regularly will be set.

  • I believe ODu or LT beat Dayton earlier in the week

Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • Rpi has lt #11, odu #17, mtsu #39, wku #60 and then it drops way off. Those 4 teams are doing their part and looking very strong this year. Need some ther teams to step up and this conference would move way up.

Let's hope, herdorbust, that the Herd is one of those stepping up.  In reality, we should have a very good chance of winning, if we play like we are capable, ALL of the remaining OOC games, with Xavier the likely exception!

Not sure how good Dayton is this year. They are 2-2 with their other loss coming against Hofstra. They play Akron tomorrow.

We'll play them two, maybe three times.

The third time is the only one that really matters, hopefully by that time we'll have progresses to where we win.

  • I think they have 8 scholarship players. They could wear down as the year goes on. Then playing our up tempo, hopefully wears on them.

We only play them once during the regular season.... yet we play 4 Texas teams on the road.

According to Herdzone we play them twice. Jan 6, 18 in Huntington and Jan 27 at BG, KY.

I looked it up before posting just so I wouldn’t be embarrassed by someone correcting me.

  • Zona has lost three straight after ascending to No.2. I'm not sure what's happening there but It's not good. They should drop completely out of the Top 25 polls.

  • Can someone refresh me on their (WKU) basketball recruiting class. I remember it was lights out but then they lost their #1 all-world recruit.

Thinking it still must have been an awesome recruiting class.
