Title: Injuries to playmakers change C-USA East landscape

Old Dominion isn't the only team that has seen injuries potentially change their fortunes.

Middle Tennessee is dealing with plenty of its own issues this week as well, with starting quarterback Brent Stockstill and leading wide receiver and preseason All-American Richie James both injured.

Following last week's 34-3 loss to at Minnesota, Brent Stockstill spoke with media members about his injuries, confirming that he had a cracked sternum and a separated collarbone. The recovery timetable for such an injury is about two to three months.

Anything less than the conference championship this year is just pathetic and underachieving. Not only is this conference pathetically weak this year, even the contenders have been decimated by injuries to key players.

Injuries are part of the game.  We could go 9-3 this season due to the misfortune of other teams.  Still think WKU is going to be hard to beat, and Doc will have to prove he can go to Texas and beat UTSA.  Would be a much better record than we are actually that good, but after 3-9 last season......take it and be happy.

La Tech is playing very well. Should have beaten South Carolina. WKU struggled to beat Ball St at home even though Ball St had 4 offenseive starters out including their QB and top RB. Of course they may play lights out against us.

Every team goes through it. Hate to see kids get hurt.
