There will most likely be a VERY large contingent of Herd fans in Johnson Arena tonight. I have spoken to quite a number that are going over.

I’m heading over

Had planned on it but work got in the way.

Believe we are, just buying tickets there. Should be no problem.

it never is....

Already bought our tickets and will pick them up at Morehead tonight. I don't know what it is, but we never play well down there. Lets hope that changes tonight. 3-0!!!!!

three of us are driving over from Lexington.
I am tired of going there and seeing us stink the gym up. Need a change tonight

At least this time we have a guy named Jon Elmore. 2 years ago it was before Elmore was eligible and Stevie was having to run the point. I think Jon, CJ, Peneva and crew will be ready.

Anyone on the fence about going tonight? It is like driving to Charleston except in the opposite direction. Get off the Morehead Exit and turn left and go 2-3 miles to the end at a red light and turn left again. Go another 2-3 miles and the arena is on the left. If you don't have a ticket, it will be easy to get one there and there isn't a bad seat in there. Lets have a big HERD crowd there and make the fellows feel right at home LOL!!!!

Last time was a terrible evening, rainy and ugly outside; but it got that ugly inside too. The refs weren't great, but our inability to stop the inside game was even worse than the refs and the rain. Tonight, I predict, will be much different.
Oh, forgot to say the hot dogs and popcorn are pretty darn good at Morehead. Looking forward to a basketball dinner with my wife tonight...hehe.

I can't wait for this. First road game of the year with a young team. We need this.
-
For us out of towners...is there no Herdvision for this game?

You can watch it free on http://ovcdigitalnetwork.com/watch/. Last year for EKU the picture was good.

Thank you 14562...I will be there then...Go Herd!
-
Saw them beat Hucks first team there...one of only 5 losses all yr. Ditto a Russell Lee team in Herd Heaven something like 103-101 Lee and a Morehead guard both had around 40. What a BB game! Then there was Phil Sims. WTF?
-
A friend and I will be there. I'm curious to what the line might be?
-
Morehead looks to be down a bit this year. Let's get a W and keep rolling.

Posted inappropriately in another thread by mistake :
Not worth a new thread but I think OVC game officials will not be opposed to helping Morehead get their first win, keep their fans engaged. They are not a good team so far.
Will be interesting to see how the Herd reacts in their first road test.

I thought the 71-72 Herd only had 4 losses : Marquette ( robbed ), Miami of Ohio ( not there to see probably robbed ), home loss to Morehead ( I was there 103-98 by my recollection, read later many of the Herd had played or tried to play with the flu - no home cooking from the refs either ), and SW LA ( with I believe what turned out to be ineligible players ) in the NCAA tnmt. So you could possibly look at like we were close to undefeated that year, lol.

5 loss season mentioned above was Hucks Herd 83-84.

If memory serves me our worst three losses to Morehead all came against the second best team in Herd history. In 1955 we won our only MAC basketball title. Charlie Slack, Cebe, Paul and Hal Greer lost at home, away and then in the first round of the big dance. The third loss was without Charlie who was ineligible because he had played four years. A very weird rule which eventually disappeared. I was a freshman at the time. Great team...Only lost 5 games.

I think it was Leonard Coulter a 6-5 player like Lee that played center. they matched up pretty good with the Herd.
