Hey, FT2, not to worry much longer about Gordy Geek.  He's got one foot out the door in Morganhole and, like Huggy Bear, will soon be a sad, forgotten afterthought and footnote in the grand scheme of things!!!

Let's just hope wiser heads in the staff will emerge, in Higher Education and elsewhere, in the State and will eventually result in better cooperation and relationships between Colleges and Universities.  Who knows? May even result in more competition in Athletics between the two D1 Programs in WV, meaning resuming football and basketball events/games between them.

I am disappointed we didn?t make the postseason but they were close.  Add a few bats and a couple more arms and we?re there.   Which is the cool thing?. Once you?re into the post season,  if you have a solid set of starters you can make noise..

Hopefully we see improvement next year.   But this team scrapped all year, just not quite enough to pull out the tough ones.

Article on HERD Zone on today's season ending game, and loss, to Coastal Carolina indicated that the Herd said goodbye to 17 seniors.  Hopefully, this fact frees up sufficient scholarship funds to allow the Coaching Staff to upgrade the team's overall TALENT which is obviously essential if we hope to be competitive in baseball in the SBC!!!

While still waiting for posting of WBB portal signings, if my memory serves me correctly, last year Kim had to play quite a few early season non-conference games on the road so this year in the back end of the home and home those teams have to come to Huntington to play Juli's new Herd team.  Should be a big benefit to have a majority of the early games in the CAM.

Most of the WBB scheduling should be done due to the Away & Home that was set up last year.

Looking at last year's schedule these games were played on the road:
George Mason
Northern Kentucky
Wright State
Morehead State
Jacksonville U
Elon
If these were home and home games, they all should be coming to Huntington this fall.

We also played Wake Forest on the road, but I doubt if that was a home and home series.
Same thing for the Florida game (but would like to see us go down to UF to play.)  Maybe they would pay us to come & play.

There are no more walking "zombies" as any other town. Heck, you want to see more? Just drive 50 miles east and walk around Charleston. Some of you that keep acting like Huntington is the worst place ever is out of your mind. Could it be better? You bet!! But it isn't nearly as bad as some of you make it out to be. I guess you have your eyes closed when you go to other cities. I've been to a LOT of cities that I didn't even feel comfortable getting out of my car. I never have that feeling in Huntington.

Here we go again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,  we all know you hate the place and everyone who tries to do well, or contribute there.  Why not come in and do it all  yourself; you seem to know all the problems, perhaps you've got all the answers too.

More like get coaches that know how to use their resources better (Huff and Dan).

Will say, this data does not include NIL spending from those third party collectives which are currently not under the schools' umbrella (ex: Thunder Trust).

Still, would be hard pressed that Marshall's NIL would be in similar ranking as spending shown, conference related of course.
