By JIM WALKER/Tribune Sports EditorFriday, September 21, 2007 10:52 AM CDTHUNTINGTON, W.Va. — One good turn deserves another, at least in the eyes of the Cincinnati Bearcats. So far this season, the Bearcats have intercepted 11 passes and recovered six fumbles. Mike Mickens and DeAngelo Smith have three picks each and they have scored a touchdown. Marcus Barnett has a fumble return for a score. The parade of turnovers is a key reason Cincinnati is off to a 3-0 start.“They have speed on defense and create turnovers,” said Herd coach Mark Snyder.*“They have a mature defense. They’ve been playing together for three years for the most part. They have some playmakers up front and those corners are very, very talented.”While the Bearcats are 3-0, Marshall is 0-3 due to a tough over-schedule of Miami, Fla., West Virginia, and New Hampshire.Conversely, Cincinnati has rolled past Southeast Missouri State 59-3, Oregon State 34-3, and Miami, Ohio, 47-10.
