Hey guys...long time lurker, first time poster here.

The reason I'm posting is to ask everyone for a little help.

I'm looking for a nice, preferably high-res picture or photo of the Marshall University Seal.

The seal was pretty prevalent on shirts and sweatshirts back in the 80s and early 90's if I remember correctly. One in particular I remember was a green sweatshirt with a white screen printing of the seal only. The seal itself had the likeness of John Marshall.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!

it's somewhere on the Marshall.edu site, I only had a couple of minutes but couldn't turn it up, however I found several docs that referenced it.

You might just try e-mailing university communications.. they may or may not send it to you, but they would have the best files. It is less commonly used now. I do work for the university and i don't even think they included it in the package I got from them. But I think it may still be in use for some office or department.

I would try e-mailing Dave Wellman or Su Tams in communications. Their e-mail can be found through the directory at www.marshall.edu.

I find it hard to believe how hard it is to find the Marshall seal. You might want to contact Rick Wellman if you really need one, even if its for personal purposes, he might be able to help you out.

Here is a link to the "Style Guide" -- on labeled page 4, there are two versions of the seal - Latin Version and English Version ---> Seal

Since this is a PDF, I'm guessing you will need an advanced program (maybe Adobe Illustrator or something like that) to access the image file.

The shirt could say something like "Marshall gets the SEAL of approval". haha

Cute for a kid or something. I would never wear it.
