  • It was only one play and it was still a home loss.  BUT- did anyone see Mario Harvey blow up Owen Schmidt early in the 3rd quarter?  Happened right in front of me and he pancaked him!

Overall- we played hard.  We played smart- only one turnover(tho it was a biggie) and few penalties.  we played with a fire in our bellies that we havent had very often in the last few years.  As far as the call at the end of the half- tells you how much confidence snyder has in B MO

  • I've said from day one that Harvey was the steal of that class.

  • Arent you guys tired of hearing about "The Legend of Owen Schmitt?"

I mean, the guy is a very decent fullback, nothing more or less. He is not overpowering, freakishly strong or fast. He is quite capable, but sheesh, WVU folks just need to praise Slaton, White, and certainly Reynaud before Schmitt.

  • I saw Josh Johnson absolutely OBLITERATE one of their lineman, I mean drove him hard into the ground and on his back, then stood over him pumping his fist...I loved it.

  • the 'eers fans behind me kept screaming for them to give the ball to Schmidt.  I asked them why they were so anxious to see a slow white guy run two yards and get get his legs taken out from under him.

I think they love Schmidt for the same reason UK fans loved Ritchie Farmer in basketball.

    Ditto.

His prep film said it all. Fast, great sideline-to-sideline movement, aggressive, and seems to have a nose for the football (although I saw him out of position late in the game, which led to a long WVU gain).

There were two guys in that year's class that I was eager to see play: Slate and Harvey. I had to wait a year to see Harvey play, but I think he's going to be a big help before this year's done.

The funniest thing Josh did all day was on a PAT he was lined up as the wing blocker, he pointed at one of the WVU rushers and waved at him.

As our line matures and gets better Josh is going to dominate, he has all the physical tools, we just need to make sure that our DL does a good job against the opponents OL and they can't get an OL on Josh like what happened to Max his last couple of years.

  • Josh Johnson is a BAD MAN.....I love this guy.  He is lights out, hits like a truck, and plays non stop.  We are lucky to have him.  Big Time player.

  • Johnson is a beast.  I am definately glad he is on our side.  He had some real sticks on Saturday.
