  • what's that mean...........we physically matching up and definitely quicker, but the mistakes are killing us.

Coaches need to settle these guys down a bit and get them focused for the second half.

  • this is where our weak schedule hurts us too a bit, we just aren't used to playing teams with Big10 level players that are well coached............don't know how Purdue will do, but they have bigger, better players than we see most games.........and a good staff.

  • Birdsong much to slow to react. Quick hitters may be the answer.

  • Well, first half, Purdue got all the breaks......2 fumbles on last two series, recovered both....... MU penalties, won every reviewed play.............if we limit the penalties, I like our chances............got to get Devon the ball more.

  • I think their O-line is getting worn down some from the heat.  Concerned with our offense.  Birdsong has either been over hyped or is nervous.  I will say I don't think our play calling has helped him at all.

We may need to see a "gelling" period for this team this year.  They have talent but they need to learn to play within themselves.

We need some halftime adjustments but 100% in this game.

  • Those "we'll beat them by 3 tds" predictions are kind of out the window.

  • Yes those penalties were huge. Need better protection for Birdsong. Line has to step up. If so no fumble by Birdsong. Remi had a nice run. Let's score on the first possession.

  • we, obviously, will never get a call in our favor from Big 10 refs.
They even overturn (never happens) themselves to help the Big 10 team.

never know, but these teams match up pretty well..........good college football game

we get the ball first down by 4, could be up by three at the end of that drive, let's hope

GOT TO LIMIT the gimme first downs............we kept their drives alive.

  • With all the hype the OL has been a disappointment, while MB needs to get rid of the ball quicker they have give him little time to throw.

Just think, five years ago we'd have been down 35 to this team right now.

  • Birdsong reminds me of Anderson at this point. I hope he develops during half time. If we lose this game we will be another G5 on the L side of a match up with a mediocre P5 team. Will Devon play a more significant role in the 2nd half. Getting the ball first is an opportunity to establish momentum. Hope we do that.

I don't buy that.........the overturned calls were pretty obvious.......Replay official could be CUSA, they aren't always a part of the on field assignment........

Anderson never even looked like a major college QB, Birdsong hasn't played poorly at all and he is responsible for several of our biggest plays and has made some great ball fakes.

But we suffered and expect to win. Losing is not an option.
