Topic: CUSA Tournament

This year, it seems like I am hearing more of a team being in whatever place in the east division or west division. It seems like in the past, all teams were ranked 1-14 despite the division they were in. This leads to a question. When it comes to the CUSA tournament, how will the teams be seeded? Will the east play the east and west play west and the two teams that survive play in the championship game? Or, will there be a 1-14 seeding with the top 4 or 5 teams getting a bye in the first round and the others play the first day?

Of course this info isn't anywhere on this pathetic conference's website. At least if it is, it's not on the page where it obviously should be.

But I would imagine it's this format that we used last year and most conferences with basketball divisions use:

1st Round
6E vs 7E
6W vs 7W

2nd Round
3W vs 6E/7E
4E vs 5W
3E vs 6W/7W
4W vs 5E

Quarterfinals
1W plays winner of 4E vs 5W
2E plays winner of 3W vs 6E/7E
-----------------------------------
1E plays winner of 4W vs 5E
2W plays winner of 3E vs 6W/7W

Edit: Changed the first round games. Didn't notice at first that last year, they were against teams in the same division. No idea why that's the case instead of the inter-division format the rest of the way (provided the chalk holds each round).
