What kind of deal did they work out with Ohio to play in Athens in 2025?

Yeah I took a look at the original article and I knew it would piss me off.  The argument that they are 12-0 against us and the games are none competitive, just illustrates their insecurities. Of course they have some decent fans, but they have to lead the entire nation in percentage of absolute morons per fanbase.

They just don?t want it ever lose to us and to be 12-1 or 15-5, because their backwards hillbilly fans think that makes them better than a Marshall fan, because they ?Picked? a team that has a better record in head to head competition in one sport.

I have said that if we would have beaten them once, we?d play every single year.

By that retarded logic anyone of us could ?pick? to be Penn State fan and be better than them, because Penn State beat them in football for like 20 years in a row, then there was a tie game and then Penn State beat them like 15 more years in a row.   I?m going off memory but I m pretty sure Pitt has beaten them at least 10 years in a row and I?m thinking it?s closer to 14 or 15 years in a row.

Even though they deny this reality, other than Major Harris?s team, we played them at the absolute peak of success, in their program?s history, with Pat White and Slaton.

If we get the game great, if not great.  If anyone could facilitate it, it would be Brad Smith.  He is on another level of leadership.

At least it looks like we are bringing in stronger more athletic players.

I think Marshall fans will be surprised at the freshman, Moore coming from the Atlanta area.  I would be surprised if he doesn?t see meaningful minutes.  Needs to get in the weight room, but he is extremely athletic and can stroke it from 3.

I think Moore will be a very good player. Harding not so much imo.

A lot of those losses were by very few runs and we are still for the most part a young team and just need to regroup in the offseason and get back at it and start doing the basics a bit better.

The 2024 Herd baseball team absolutely does not fit the "young team" description in any way.  We're losing nearly 75% of our starts from the everyday-8 (Ayers, Hondras, Ferraro, Firestone, Smith, and Kaiser) to graduation, we're losing 75% of our starting pitching rotation (losing Harlow, Heiner, and Lyles with only Blevins returning), and nearly half of the entire roster (17 players) walked on Senior Day.

We do return Blevins as an ace starting pitcher, and Harthan returns making 42 starts this past year leading the team in batting average and stolen bases.  We have a smattering of other production in Havrilla, Vogleson, and Peralta, but they all need to improve their averages at the plate.  The 2025 team should look and feel completely different to this year's team as a full rebuild is essentially in effect.  As mentioned above, there are two or three players in the incoming class that might be among the most heralded recruits Marshall baseball has ever landed.  I think next season should be the "young team" year.

May end up seeing a semi-pro league with SEC and Little 10, then a collegiate league for the rest.  I mean that?s basically what it is now.

Soccer is deffo the cream of the crop right now for the Herd from a success standpoint(Stating the obvious I know). Need to keep on getting the fans to these games and keep on being a powerhouse.

Living in NC, their is really no reason for me to be a season ticket holder(Love the Herd but that almost 5 hour drive up the mountain is harsh haha), but do try to come up for at least one home game a season and expect to do the same next season.

We need to focus on becoming a SBC powerhouse before we worry about playing them at their place, at home, or anywhere else. FWIW, I don't much care if we do or not.

Not in the mood for their arrogant(For some reason) fans to be smug towards Herd Nation because they beat us(Though they haven't been relevant since Patricia White was QB).
