  • I just read an article mentioning Billy Donovan as a candidate for the UK job. I would think the job would be his if wanted to come back to college coaching. They loved Billy at UK.  I am not sure anyone would leave a pro job for a college job with all the changes in college sports.

Another article stated the Caplipari was interested in the OSU job, but the timing was bad. OSU promoted their top assistant to the head job.

  • Will be interesting to see how Cal does.

UK fans were tired of him.

He didn't want to recruit transfer players and wanted to recruit high school players.

He's criticized the NIL (which is funny since he's always be associated paying players all the way back to UMass).

This past year a lot of his interviews where they lost he threw players under the bus.

It was over once he made the comment his job was to get players in the NBA and not championships.
That does not work at a blue blood like UK where winning is the only thing.

He doesn't like the NIL because it allowed everyone to pay what he has always been paying  the players.

  • I'm shocked that Cornelius Jackson hasn't been mentioned in the UK rumor mill.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

  • Maybe they'll hire Ben Howlett a proven d2 coach and he can get d2 transfers and win the SEC

  • Big Ben comes to Marshall - wins - ends up HC in P5 within 3 years

    Probably would be the case

Arkansas final 4 - best player mid major transfer and major contributor and starter from low Major D1 (basically upper level D2)

Both teams in D2 ncaa final would best Marshall

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but everytime Calipari leaves a school, the NCAA comes sniffing for issues within the program.

  • UK MBB going household name.

Crutchfield would rule the SBC though - wins too much to lose

Like D2 Caldwell did - wins too much to lose

Hurley won't take their call, nor should he. It would be a step down.

Read about UConn finances.  They don't have SEC football money and the athletic department is struggling.  UK can offer way more money.
