  • Doesn't someone ask questions that many should be concerned about?

The questions were just plain elementary.

  • Because college athletic departments realized they have all the power when it comes to access and won't tolerate any news organization that doesn't serve as a PR service.

Ergo-> Chuck Landon, not Doug Smock.

With some exceptions, even CL's critical pieces are off base, often comically.
Same with some of his praises.

His recent column praising the Air Raid is inaccurate. What he described in the column was Steve Spurrier's Fun & Gun vertical game.
The Hal Mumme/Mike Leach/Kliff Kingsbury offense incorporates a lot of short and horizontal routes with one of the aims to create wide open running lanes between the tackles.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

I did email him the other day. If he asked any "tough" questions, it was after the press conference that I was able to watch.

  • You all care way too much about "questions". Coaches are not gonna tell fans stuff they don't want to here and media isn't going to ask stuff on the first day on the job. You guys have to be realistic. It's public relations 101. Nobody cares what your next door neighbor Jimmy wants to ask the coach. Get real people.

Then Jimmy will not buy tickets to watch mediocrity at best
