Interesting that Appalachian State received four votes. Be nice for the Herd to pass them up this year!

Appy getting votes...WKU not.

While CUSA is a higher profile/classier football conference then the Sunbelt; the Sunbelt is playing competitive football...
-
A couple of SunBelt teams play competitive football, but not many. A few more C-USA teams do, but not many. Cutting the top of each and matching them in a conference would make a great G5 league; like the old top of the FCS D1AA days. Wow...
-
All this simply means is that as of the eve of the 2017 College Football Season, we are not even in consideration for the title of Mr. Irrelevant in the Irrelevant world of G5 football!!!

True that, E. Only one way to change that is by the performance on the field. And we all know the name of the person upon whose desk the "buck (of responsibility for the on field performance) stops", don't we E? ;)

Sunbelt teams came into C-USA and seem to be kicking butt and taking names in football :-[ Maybe that's why our coaching staff keeps a sore @ss ;)

As I recall the AP gives a vote to one W Va writer each year and rotates it around.
Is it Vingleberry's turn this year?

i don't think it rotates around? this site shows vingle having a vote the last 3 seasons, with mcgill having a vote before that:
